About DragonFish
What is DragonFish?
A done-for-you email system for e-commerce brands. It wins the inbox on two fronts: making the list you already own worth more, and finding new buyers before they find you.
How is this different from a typical email agency?
Most agencies log into your Klaviyo or Mailchimp and set up a few flows inside your existing, often broken, system. DragonFish never touches your current setup. It builds a fresh, purpose-built system beside it, running its own domains and infrastructure.
Why should I trust that this works?
Six brands run on the system today. A co-founder of Omnisend, the platform behind more than 160,000 brands, said he'd never seen anything like it. We won't publish client results publicly, since our beta clients asked us not to.
How the system works
What are the "brains"?
Deep intelligence files, 20 of them, built on your brand, your customers, your competitors, and your category. As many as 14 of them, some 40 pages long, sit open while a single email gets written.
What's the process from signup to sending?
Onboarding, then deep research, then brand foundation, customer voice, competitive intelligence, visual and web assets, and campaign planning. Sending starts after that. Domains and inboxes warm up in parallel behind the scenes.
Do I approve things before they go out?
Yes. The Campaign Planner proposes ranked ideas, five cold and six warm, and you greenlight them before a single email is written. You approve the final copy and landing pages too.
If everyone has AI, why can't I just do this with ChatGPT?
A better prompt can't fix an empty brain. Most AI writes the average of the internet, which is exactly why it reads like everyone else's. DragonFish refuses to write without the brains loaded first, and every email is humanized and detector-tested before a human reviews it.
Warm email
What's included in Warm Email?
Domains, hosting, and email setup; a warm-up service; a full set of brains for one product; email sequences and a warm landing page; a monthly package of sends; and full back-end automation.
How many emails will you send to my list?
Three emails a week for four weeks is standard, planned campaign by campaign. A 30,000-person list works out to roughly 360,000 emails a month, with the daily maximum capped at your list size.
What response rate should a warm list get?
Results vary, but a good, properly cleaned list should typically see a 2% to 10% response rate.
Cold email
What is intent-based email?
Reaching someone at the exact moment they're ready to buy. When they search Google for the problem your product solves, or visit a competitor's site, we identify them within hours and land a short, personal email in their inbox. No ads, no bidding.
What does the cold sequence look like?
A three-to-four email sequence per lead over a 12-day period. The first goes out as soon as the data arrives and asks a question rather than selling anything. A reply moves that person onto your warm list, for good.
What conversion rate should I expect from cold email?
Results vary, but typically 0.015% to 3%. That range is why cold email needs the right price point and margin to make sense.
Can cold email work if I have no list at all?
Yes, that's exactly how cold intent builds a list from scratch. It's a slower grind, though, and you'll spend before it compounds. We'll say plainly on a call if your product and price point make it worth the spend.
List cleaning and IP resolution
What makes your list cleaning different?
Most services check one thing: does the address bounce. This runs every single email through 28 separate forensic checks, closer to a background investigation than a spellcheck.
Will you really cut a big chunk of my list?
Probably. Expect 20 to 50 percent to be removed. Emailing real, active, safe addresses beats emailing a bigger, dirtier list.
What is IP resolution?
About 95 percent of your site visitors leave without a trace. A lightweight snippet identifies 40 to 70 percent of them: name, email, and roughly 70 demographic data points, all legal and compliant in the US.
Does IP resolution work on Amazon or Walmart?
No. It runs on your own website, Shopify store, or landing pages, not on marketplace listings. Marketplace Capture is the separate product built for that.
Deliverability and legal
What deliverability do you achieve?
99 percent deliverability, with 90 percent or more landing in the inbox rather than spam or junk. Inbox placement and blacklists are monitored around the clock.
Is it illegal to email someone in the US who never opted in?
No, this is the most common misconception in email. CAN-SPAM doesn't require prior consent for commercial email in the US. It requires honesty: identify yourself, don't deceive, and give a working way to opt out.
What are the penalties for violating CAN-SPAM?
Up to $53,088 per violating email, with no cap on volume. Aggravated violations, such as harvested addresses or deceptive routing, can carry criminal penalties. Compliance is built into every send for exactly this reason.
If I hire DragonFish, who's legally responsible for compliance?
Both parties. Under CAN-SPAM, the company whose product is being promoted stays responsible even when another company sends the email. Liability can't be outsourced, so every send carries the required identification and opt-out elements.
Pricing and terms
What's the setup fee?
$997 a month for the first three months, for either service, or $2,500 paid up front with no monthly add-on.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Three months for the done-for-you services, which is roughly how long it takes to reach real potential. IP Resolution and Intent Audience Feeds are month-to-month and can be cancelled anytime.
Do you guarantee results?
No. We run a simulation on your actual price, margin, and list size before you spend anything, and we'll tell you plainly if we don't think it will work. We won't take payment on a "let's see what happens" basis.
Is this right for me
Who is the warm service best for?
Brands with an existing list, ideally 30,000 or more emails. Smaller lists can still work, but pricing is based on that floor, so a smaller list pays a premium per email.
Who is cold email best for?
Products at $100 or more, or with a lifetime value that gets there through repeat purchases or subscriptions. A $20 item generally won't clear the math, and we'll say so directly.
Does it work for services, SaaS, B2B, or local businesses?
Not yet. The system today is built for physical product sellers. Services, SaaS, and local businesses are on the roadmap for fall 2026, since the brains need to be rebuilt around services rather than products.
